Brazilian-born and now Toronto-based, RAFA is a genre-bending DJ blending techno-funk, funk-house, girlie pop, dark house, and underground groove. They got their start in Halifax, quickly becoming a fixture in the city’s queer nightlife-holding down sets as a Rumours house DJ, headlining TailSpin, voicing the world of HEDON, and sharing decks with international talent. A core member of the PourquoiPas Music & Art Collective, RAFA brings curated chaos, deep rhythm, and sweaty joy to every set.

For UNTERGRÜND, Rafa will be opening his set by exploring melodic, emotional house inspired by Vintage Culture, Gorgon City, and John Summit. As the night unfolds, the melodies will slowly strip back, giving way to heavier grooves, deeper basslines, and rawer house energy, setting the floor up for a darker, more underground journey.
